Psalm 62 Author David. Wait for God. Written to the chief musician with instructions that it was to be "rendered" after the manner of Jedu-thun who was an ancient ancestor of David who had established a form of Hebrew sacred music. It does not appear to have been written on any particular occasion. David, with a great deal of pleasure, professes his confidence in God and his dependence upon Him and encourages others to trust in Him likewise. This Psalm does not appear to have been written about any particular occasion, it is more of a testimony and a confession by David than a response to an event in his life.
