Psalm 63 Author David. Thirst for God. Written while he was in the wilderness of Judah (1st. Samuel 22). Contains expressions of:

1. His desire to serve God.
2. His love of God.
3. His satisfaction with God.
4. His satisfaction with his prayer life with God.
5. Hid dependence upon God.
6. His assurance of God's protection.

Note is made by Matthew Henry, that David, like Paul, wrote his sweetest accounts when he was most down trodden. Paul, when he was in prison, and David, here in the wilderness.
