Psalm 68 Author David. God is the father of the fatherless. Written to the chief musician (choirmaster). Probably written by David when he brought the Ark of the Covenant home from the house of Obed-edom to the tent he had pitched for it in Zion (Jerusalem). It is similar to the prayer of Moses (Numbers 10) when Moses removed the Ark from the Tabernacle on each day of the wilderness wondering. They were an estranged people in a strange land, "fatherless", if you will, but God was their God and thru the Messiah, victories would be obtained over the enemies of death and damnation for Christ would ascend and set at the right hand of God. (The 14th. prophesy concerning the Messiah)
