On Grace and Providence

Psalm 93 Author unknown. The Majesty of God. No specific instructions to the chief musician. The psalm relates to two specific areas of God's relationship to man:

  1. His Kingdom of Providence by which He governs the world.
  2. His Kingdom of Grace by which He govern the church.

The Psalmist says that the administration of both of these kingdoms is in the hands of the "Word", the promised Messiah, who was from the beginning. As King of the Kingdom,

  1. He has Holy Robes.
  2. He has a Holy Throne.
  3. He has enemies over whom He will triumph.
  4. He has honor due Him who is faithful and holy.

It is a psalm phrasing the majesty of God.
