God's Care and Provision

Click here to read Psalms 97.

Psalm 97 Author unknown. Rejoice, the Lord Reigns. No specific instructions to the chief musician. This psalm is similar to the last one. It declares Christ to be the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. His government is of all nations and His power is irresistible. His dominion is eternal. This is the comfort and joy of His people because it speaks of God's care and provision for them.

The Psalm speaks terror to the enemies of God and comfort to His friends. This comfort is translated to His sovereign dominion in the care and provision of His people. In the reading of this Psalm we cannot but realize the power of our Redeemer and feel for the state of His enemies and realize how fortunate we are to be called into a relationship with Him by His grace.
