Psalm 98 Author unknown. Sing a New Song to the Lord. No specific instructions to the chief musician. This is the third psalm in a row that prophesies the Kingdom of the Messiah. It foretells of a world kingdom and the inclusion of the Gentiles. It tells of the glory of the Redeemer. It tells of the joy of the redeemed.

If we read this Psalm in the right attitude that gives glory to God, we will read it with understanding. If those who only hoped in the Kingdom of the Messiah could understand so much about it how much more should we, who live in it, understand and appreciate it.
