Psalm 100 Author unknown. This psalm was sung quite frequently, usually resulting in a "thank offering". We are encouraged to serve the Lord with gladness both in our tithes and in our worship, considering His mercy towards us. We frequently need to examine our attitude towards worship and service to the Lord. We must never be guilty of grudgedly giving to the Lord. We must continually remind ourselves of the blessings that we have received from the Lord and out of thanksgiving, worship with enthusiasm and give with thankful hearts.
We are also told to observe the ordinances thoughtfully, rightly considering our worthiness seeking always to be sincere in our worship of the Lord. Let us seek each day to renew the "joy of our salvation" and celebrate as though it is still the most wonderful thing that ever happen to us, which of course, it is.
