Psalm 108 Author David. No instructions. This Psalm, like psalms 117,135,136 and 138, is a song of phrase. David gives thanks to God for His mercies and ends with a prayer of thanksgiving. The first part of this Psalm is taken from Psalm 57, the last part from Psalm 60. It teaches us that in our prayers it is all right to repeat what we have previously asked for providing we are sincere and not just repeating words. We can often use the words of scripture in our prayers when they express what we sincerely feel. In the reading of this Psalm, we need to do so to the glory of God and for our own comfort.
