Psalm 132 is another Psalm of Degrees. It was probably penned by Solomon and was sung at the dedication of the Temple that his father David had charged him to build (I Chron. 28:2 etc.) Having completed the work he pleas to God to accept what he has done and with the completion, he will bring the Ark of the Covenant, which is symbolic of God's presence, into the Temple and his earnest prayer is that God himself will come and take possession of it.
In the reading of this Psalm we must pray with the same sincerity for God's approval and possession of the present container of God's Spirit, our bodies.
