A Song on Brotherly Love

Click here to read Psalms 133.

Psalm 133 is another Psalm of Degrees. It is believed by some to have been penned by David on the occasion of his coronation as King of Israel, a time when all the Tribes of Israel was in attendance and seemed to be of one accord a rare display of unity and brotherly love.

It is a Psalm of many uses both civil and religious, a plea for brotherly love and peace among people. Here the doctrine of peace and happiness is laid down as that which is dependant upon brotherly love. This, in itself, should justify the means.

In the reading of this Psalm, we should seek to apply it in all areas of our lives. It is especially beneficial in the fellowship of believers.
