Psalm 135 Author unknown. No instructions to the chief musician. Hallelujah, phrase the Lord as the "God of Jacob", as the "God of gods", as the God of the whole world", as a "terrible God to the enemies of Israel", as a "gracious God to Israel", as the "only living God", and declare this the duty of all concerned people.
Our God is the only Living God; all other gods are vanity and a lie. The call is not just to the Israelites it is to all that worship the one true and living God. In the reading of this Psalm we are raised to a new high in the expression of our love and devotion to God and our phrase of Him who has chosen us, kept us and will present us "faultlessly" on the Day of Judgment.
