David's Psalm of Phrase

Click here to read Psalms 145.

Psalms 145 thru 150 are Psalms of phrase. It is fitting that they follow the five Psalms of requests (prayer). Only this Psalm is entitled David's Song of Phrase but we have no reason to believe that hew did not write the remaining five also. They stress that our phrase should exceed our complaints. It is fitting that the Book of Psalms should end on a note of phrase.

In this Psalm we see David's phrases exceeding his requests. Here he encourages others to phrase God without ceasing especially as we grow older and reflect back on the many ways that God has blessed us. Then we should conclude as David did that we will continue to Phrase Him as long as there is life in us.

  1. Phrase Him with trumpet sound.
  2. Phrase Him with lute and harp.
  3. Phrase Him with tumbrel and dance.
  4. Phrase Him with strings and pipe.
  5. Phrase Him with sounding cymbals.
  6. Phrase Him with clashing cymbals.
