In this chapter we have Christ, the Bridegroom, speaking to His church, the Bride, each expressing their love for one another. Then a word to the "daughters of Jerusalem', who represent the weak in the church upon which people look down upon and who, in this case, are weak because of ignorance. They ask that the church in general not judge them to harshly.
Then the Church addresses the Bridegroom with words of love and asks for divine Grace. She calls him the "Good Shepherd" the one who looks after his flock. She compares Him to something of great beauty and pleads with Him to constantly keep her appraised of his where a bouts. She asks Him to draw her ever near Him that she might follow Him, not only her but also her household also.
We see that even as she spoke the Bridegroom answered her prayer and for this the Bride gives thanks for the honor that He has put upon her. His presence has brought honor and wisdom to her table. She is able by His Grace to serve Him and He by His love accepts her service.
