In this chapter the daughters of Jerusalem, moved by the Brides description of her Bridegroom, go out and inquire where they might find Him. Not finding Him they return to the Bride and question her further. 'Where do you think he may have gone?" All of a sudden the Bride seems to know where the Bridegroom has gone. To the daughters of Jerusalem she says, "You will not find Him in the Streets." "He had gone into the garden where there is privacy and seclusion. "It is there that I will find Him."
So the Bride goes to the garden where she finds her beloved. It appears that he forgives her neglect of Him and he speaks to her and makes her very happy. He declares her to be beautiful. He admits that he loves he4r very much. He describes here beauty. He acknowledges that he desires her above all others. He tells her who she has delighted him and not only Him but also all that have met her.
The chapter ends with the Bridegroom giving a recount of the past events, her reluctance to answer the door and His leaving her for a while. He tells her how he found himself unable to stay and how he allowed her to find Him. They both agree that the separation had done them both good and now they were more in love than before.
