VISION #3
Chapter 2, verses 1 thru 13, record the vision of the "Land surveyor". Zechariah looked around again and he saw a man carrying a measuring stick. Zechariah asked the Angel what this man was going to do and he was told that he was going to measure Jerusalem. He wants to see if Jerusalem is big enough to hold all the people that will be there some day. Many will live outside the walls and they will be safe for the Lord, Himself, will be a wall protecting them. Then the Lord cried out to the exiles in Babylon, "Come flee from the land to the north, from Babylon, escape to Zion now." "I will smash Babylon with My fists and their slaves will be their rulers." "Then you will know that it was the "Lord of Hosts" who sent me."
