Prophesies Concerning the Messiah

Chapters 12 thru 14 have prophecies of the Second Coming of Christ and the establishment of His Kingdom here on earth. Here we need to distinguish between the "Jerusalem" of the preceding chapters and the "Jerusalem" that is from above. In the preceding chapter, the doom of the former is prophesied and in these chapters the blessings of the latter is declared. Four of those blessings are foretold in Chapter 12:

1. Any attempts against her shall be brought to ruin.
2. The work of her patrons shall be successful.
3. God will protect and strengthen the "meanest" and the "weakest".
4. That in preparation for all this, God will pour out a Spirit of prayer and repentance the effect of which shall be universal
