Prophesies of the "End Times"

This chapter speaks of "The Day of the Lord", the meaning of which is not clear. It declares that at that time the Lord will bring both judgment and mercy to the church of Jesus Christ. Six prophecies are here made:

1. The gates of Hell shall not prevail against the Church.
2. The Power of Heaven shall protect the Church against its enemies.
3. Confusion is prophesied for the Church on "that day".
4. The setting up of the Gospel Kingdom is here foretold.
5. Judgment is foretold for those who fought against "Jerusalem" and those who neglected their worship.
6. A great "movement" to the Church is prophesied along with purity and piety.

All of this, we believe, speaks of conditions that will prevail at the "End Times". It also speaks of the Second Coming of Christ and the establishment of His Kingdom here on earth.
