Biography

One night in June 2006, as she's sleeping with her peepers open, a strange man comes into her room. She yells at him, trying to keep him from stealing her stuff, when the other man identifies themselves as maintenance. They were sorry, they thought she was sleeping. She tells them she sleeps with her peepers open, then asks for the crucifix to be fixed. She's asked four times already! One of the fixes it, then they leave.

Reference to Pop Culture

• The old woman in the hospital is in room 237. In the movie, The Shining, room 237 is the mystery-shrouded room, where Jack encounters the ghost of a young woman that turns into an old woman. This is one of Supernatural's many references to The Shining throughout the series. The room number is also used for the rooms the boys stay in during 2.11 Playthings.

Trivia

• The feeble old woman incorrectly calls the cross hanging in her room a crucifix, which always depicts the crucified body of Jesus (hence the name).
• Mary Black also portrayed Grandma in Bedtime Stories
