Sairie asks her mom to come upstairs and check her closet, which Jenny does. Jenny tucks her into bed. Before she leaves, Sairie reminds her to place the chair in front, for safety. After Mom leaves, the chair moves by itself away from the closet door, letting the doors open by themselves, and a figure on fire is standing there in the closet. Sairie is terrified, and screams. Mom comes back up, but the figure is gone by the time she gets there, so Mom tries to convince Sairie that she dreamed it.
A few days later two men come by, named Sam and Dean, who used to live in their house. After her mom tells them about some of the problems they are having, Sairie speaks up and asks if they had the thing on fire in their closets, too. Sam assures Sairie he didn't, and Mom again tried to convince her she was dreaming, although Sairie protests that she wasn't.
Mom takes Sairie and Ritchie to a movie the next night, while Sam, Dean, and their friend Missouri is doing something to the house. When they get home, the house is messy, but Sairie is sent to bed. In the middle of the night, the fire figure shows up again, and this time Sam comes running into her room and grabs her off her bed as Sairie is crying. When they reach the bottom of the stairs, Sam tells Sairie to take her brother outside before something invisible grabs him and drags him through the house. She grabs her brother's hand, and races outside to Mommy. Dean grabs her shoulders, asking her where Sam is, and she tells him something grabbed him, so Dean runs back to the house. He has to chop the door to get inside, and then Mom grabs Sairie and holds her tightly.
Later on, Sairie was told that the fire figure would never come back, and that she was safe now.
