Biography

On the date of the barbeque, Tuesday March 24, 2006 Sam and Dean knocked on his door telling him they were interested in buying a house. After some confusion - Larry thought they were looking for themselves, as a homosexual couple, but Dean informed Larry they were brothers and Sam tells Larry they were looking for a house for their dad - Larry invites them in. He tells them a bit about the history, then introduces them to his wife Joanie. He leaves to go talk with some other interested buyers.

Later Dean asks for a tour, and Larry is only too happy to accommodate him. After their tour, Larry is dismayed that his son Matt had his tarantula out and bothering the brother Sam. He pulls his son to the side to have a talk with him, before circulating among the guests once more.

The next morning Larry receives the disturbing news that Lynda has died. He is there to oversee the coroner when her body is taken away, making phone calls, when Dean and Sam show up to look at the houses again. He apologizes that he can’t help them, but Lynda’s death has shook him up and he needed to go deal with it.

Thursday night Larry receives a disturbing phone call from someone claiming to be Travis Wheeler, stating there was a massive gas leak and he needs to evacuate his family. Since Larry works closely with Travis, he knew this call was a prank, and called the perpetrator on it. The caller hung up.

Later that night his son Matt tells Larry that there is a biblical swarm of insects coming, and they have to leave their house. They end up in another fight, before Dean and Sam show up, right before midnight. Dean and Sam insist there is a problem, that the insects are going to kill them, but Larry thinks they are crazy. Larry just wants them gone or he’ll call the cops, and insists they leave his family alone. However, there is a strange noise heard, and thousands of insects are seen flying their direction. Dean yells for them to go into the house.

Once inside, Dean takes charge, ordering towels placed and everything blocked. Larry still doesn’t quite believe the danger, but he tells his wife Joanie to call 911. She can’t, the insects have chewed through the phone lines. He tries to call using his cell phone, and he can’t because the insects have blanketed the house so thoroughly the signal can’t get through. That is when he truly starts to feel scared. They wait anxiously downstairs, until the bugs break the flue and swarm in, before they race for the upstairs. Larry pulls down the attic steps, and they all race up there to escape.

Larry huddles with Joanie and Matt over in a corner of the attic, while Dean and Sam try to keep the insects from coming in. Eventually, the insects chew their way through the roof and swarm. Dean and Sam try to fight them at first, before the five of them huddle together to try to keep them off. Amazingly, the insects leave at dawn, and they are all still alive. Stung, bit, hurting, but alive.

Larry has a chance to bond with Matt, and they have a long heart to heart talk. Not everything is completely fixed, but they have gone a long way towards healing. The family starts packing to leave. Before they leave, however, Dean and Sam show up. Larry tells them that the development is put on hold while the government investigates the bones that Matt, Dean, and Sam found. This is the biggest financial disaster of his career, but he doesn’t care because everyone is alive. They shake hands before Larry goes back to packing and moving.
